Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, has reiterated his commitment to working for the people of the State.

Governor Otti stated this when he received in audience a delegation of Ndi – Imo in Abia State led by a commissioner in the Abia State Local Government Commission, Dr G.C .Duru in his office.

The Governor said that his administration would continue to work for the people in fulfilment of his campaign promise and thanked the group for appreciating his modest achievements which has changed the Abia story.

“I appreciate the kind words you have used about the modest achievements we have made to change the story of Aba and Abia. Generally”, Gov. Otti stated.

On the request for a convenient date when the Governor and his wife would be honored by the group, Governor Otti assured them that his team would work with them to find a convenient date for the event.

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Dr G.C. Duru said that the visit was to thank Governor Otti for his good works in Abia, and Aba in particular, noting that the Governor’s efforts have contributed immensely to the growth of their businesses, improved their livelihood, and connectivity in Aba and Umuahia in general.

Dr Duru said that the visit was to also get the Governor’s approval for a convenient date when they would receive and honour him and his wife who is their sister in Aba.

In his remarks, the Chairman, Imo Cultural Association, Okenze James Odocha, while noting that Governor Alex Otti has performed beyond expectations, said that the Governor’s level of achievements within the period under review speak loudly of his level of preparedness for the position.

He noted that Governor Otti has redefined Governance and changed the narratives in all sectors, pointing out that his landmark achievements in the health sector has made Abia a tourist centre on health related issues.

Okenze Odocha used the forum to appreciate the Governor for the ongoing expansion of the Owerrinta – Umuikaa road and the ongoing expansion of Abia Tower of peace – Onuimo road among other infrastructural landmarks.

The meeting was attended by senior appointees of the Governor.
