Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, was in Ebem, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, to participate in the community’s Igba Otamu celebration as part of his ongoing constituency engagements.

The lawmaker joined community members in celebrating men and women who successfully completed their traditional retirement rites, a major cultural milestone in Ebem. Among the celebrants was the Deputy Mayor of Ohafia Local Government Area.whose participation further underscored the significance of the occasion. In line with established customs, Hon. Osonwa paid respects to the retirees, acknowledging their years of service, discipline and contributions to the growth and stability of the community.

Following the cultural ceremony, Hon. Osonwa accompanied Chief Bourdex on a condolence visit to the family of Justice Anya after the passing of their matriarch, where he expressed sympathy and offered words of encouragement to the bereaved family.

The engagements concluded with a New Year courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Sir Ikechukwu Emetu. Discussions during the visit focused on unity, collaboration, and sustained development across Abia State.
