Bishop Emeka Nwankpa has declared before the court that he is not a fake pastor.
During his arraignment today over allegations that he falsely presented himself as a pastor, the respected cleric pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.

His legal team subsequently applied for bail, urging the court to grant him freedom pending the determination of the case.
The case has attracted considerable public attention, with supporters maintaining that Bishop Nwankpa has been actively involved in Christian ministry for many years and has led a congregation with hundreds of worshippers.
Further proceedings in the matter are expected as the court considers the bail application and prepares for the substantive hearing of the case.
