Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia Ancient Kingdom), has applauded the leadership of the Labour Party for what he described as a bold, honorable and well-deserved recognition of the outstanding leadership and transformational governance style of Governor Alex Chioma Otti OFR.

Reacting to the decision of the Labour Party National Working Committee to grant Governor Otti free nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the 2027 governorship election, Ambassador Offor stated that the gesture is not political favoritism but a reward for uncommon performance, transparency and people-oriented governance.

According to him, Governor Alex Otti has within a short period redefined governance in Abia State, restored public confidence in leadership and positioned the state on the path of rapid development after years of stagnation and decay.

“The decision of the Labour Party leadership is a confirmation that excellence can still be recognized in Nigeria’s political space. Governor Alex Otti has distinguished himself through prudent management of resources, infrastructural revolution, improved security, civil service reforms, road reconstruction, healthcare interventions and restoration of dignity to governance in Abia State,” he stated.

Ambassador Offor further noted that Governor Otti’s leadership style has become a model not only for Abia State but for the entire nation, stressing that the governor has proven that leadership is about vision, sincerity and service to the people rather than empty propaganda.

He commended the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Ken Eluma Asogwa, and the party leadership for openly acknowledging the governor as the party’s “poster boy and star boy,” saying such recognition reflects the reality on ground across Abia communities.

The renowned philanthropist and political stakeholder maintained that Abians across party lines can visibly attest to the massive infrastructural transformation taking place under the current administration, including the reconstruction of strategic roads, rehabilitation of schools and hospitals, prompt payment of salaries and pensions, urban renewal projects and renewed investor confidence in the state.

“Governor Alex Otti has brought competence, discipline and credibility into governance. Today, Abians are proud of their state again. The Labour Party has simply done what every responsible institution should do — reward performance and encourage excellence,” Ambassador Offor added.

He urged Abians not to allow enemies of progress and those desperate to return the state to the dark era of economic collapse, unpaid salaries, abandoned projects and political intimidation to distract the present administration from its developmental agenda.

Ambassador Offor also called on political leaders across Nigeria to emulate Governor Otti’s style of governance by placing the welfare of the people above personal interests, insisting that genuine leadership must be measured by visible impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.

He reaffirmed his total support for Governor Alex Otti’s administration and expressed confidence that the governor’s achievements would continue to speak louder than opposition propaganda as the 2027 political landscape gradually unfolds.
