Bishop Emeka Nwankpa, a chieftain of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and frontline contender for the Abia Central Senatorial District, has described the recent decision of the Federal High Court in Lokoja withdrawing its earlier order directing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register the party as a temporary setback, not the end of the NDC journey.
Reacting to the judgment, Bishop Nwankpa urged party leaders, members, and supporters across the country to remain calm, united, and hopeful, stressing that the ruling should not weaken their resolve or faith in the party’s vision.

He expressed confidence that the NDC would pursue all lawful avenues available and ultimately emerge stronger and victorious. He also called on members to remain peaceful, continue strengthening the party at the grassroots, and avoid actions capable of creating disunity.
“Our journey is far from over. Every great cause encounters challenges, but with unity, perseverance, and faith, we shall overcome. This is only a temporary setback, and the Nigeria Democratic Congress will emerge stronger,” Bishop Nwankpa said.
