The rhythm of labour solidarity echoed loudly across Lagos this evening as the Global President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), Comrade Prince (Amb.) Emeka Kalu — MAGIC FINGERS, touched down in Lagos after his resounding victory at Lisburn, where he was elected Vice President of UNI MEI, one of the most influential global federations for media, entertainment, and cultural workers.
His arrival ignited an atmosphere of celebration, pride, and renewed hope for Nigerian workers across the creative and cultural sectors.


Part of the Delegations to the NLC NEC meeting tomorrow were distinguished members of the RATTAWU leadership including , the unstoppable engine of RATTAWU’s national leadership roared even louder with the dynamic presence of the National Secretary, Comrade Akpausoh Udoh Akpausoh, and the ever-reliable National Treasurer, Comrade Muhammad Ahmed Naibi, two formidable pillars whose strategic brilliance and unwavering commitment continue to fortify the union’s backbone.
Together, this powerhouse duo embodies the spirit of accountability, organization, and progressive labour activism, anchoring the union’s mission, energizing its structures, and standing as trusted guardians of workers’ rights as they proudly accompanied the Global President on this historic global triumph and together the three Musketeers represent RATTAWU at the NLC NEC meeting.
The President’s triumphant return was marked with a warm and spirited celebration at the prestigious Emglo Suite Hotel, Festac Town, where a symbolic toast was held to honour this historic global milestone.
This victory is not only a personal accomplishment for Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu but a monumental achievement for Nigerian workers, amplifying the voice of the nation’s creative labour movement on the world stage. His election signals a new era of global representation, advocacy, and international solidarity.


Currently in Lagos for the NLC National Executive Council Meeting, the President’s presence reinforces the union’s unwavering commitment to revitalizing labour consciousness and defending workers’ rights with renewed vigour.
Earlier, the Lagos State Council of RATTAWU, under the dynamic and charismatic leadership of Comrade Ishola Adejumo, who doubles as the NLC Lagos State PRO, along SAC members roll out a grand and heartwarming reception for the Global President. In his welcome address, Comrade Ishola hailed Lagos as the “Centre of Excellence and the heartbeat of Nigeria’s labour movement”, reaffirming the state’s pride in hosting the newly elected global officer.
With drums of solidarity, chants of victory, and the unbroken spirit of workers’ activism, Lagos proudly celebrates one of its own, a leader whose magic fingers continue to shape not just national progress, but global labour transformation.
Comrade Jibunoh Godfrey, State Auditor & Chapter Chairman and Comrade Emmanuel Oparaugo were part of the celebration.
This is more than a victory; it is a beacon.
A beacon for Nigerian workers.
A beacon for Africa.
A beacon for global labour justice.
