Nigeria At 66: Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa Celebrates The Resilience Of Nigerians

Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, has congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the 66th anniversary of the nation’s independence.

Hon. Osonwa said that 66 years ago, our founding fathers chose to build one nation out of many peoples, and that the choice has been tested many times and has held.

He acknowledged that the country still faces serious challenges, especially insecurity and the lack of opportunities for young people. He said Nigeria is more than her challenges, and that her true strength lies in ordinary citizens who get up every morning and keep going.

“Nigeria is more than her challenges. She is the farmer, the trader, the student and the mother who gets up every morning and keeps going,” he said.

He reaffirmed his commitment in the House of Representatives to make sure that resilience is matched by responsible government. That means pressing for action on security, asking hard questions about how public resources are managed, and pushing for the institutions the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia deserve.

He paid special tribute to the people of Arochukwu/Ohafia for their courage, enterprise and contribution to the nation.

Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Long live Arochukwu/Ohafia.
