President of the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement, Ambassador Dr Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander,” has urged Nigerians to make national unity and intentional development central to the country’s next phase as Nigeria marks its 66th Independence Anniversary.

Offor, the Ikenga Gburuguru of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms, said Nigeria’s greatest strength lies in its people and diversity, urging citizens to resist divisions that undermine collective progress.
He called for greater resilience from Nigerians and more deliberate action from leaders, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, employment, enterprise and human capital development.
According to him, development must be intentional, measurable and sustained if it is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of ordinary Nigerians.
He said Abia State must equally remain focused on sustaining its development trajectory, adding that this informed the commitment of the OTTIMANIA Legacy Movement to the re-election of Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, in 2027.
Offor said the movement would continue to advocate continuity where it believes such continuity can help consolidate ongoing development efforts in the state.
He also urged Abians and Nigerians to see political participation as a means of shaping the future rather than deepening divisions, stressing that the ultimate objective should be a more developed society that works for its people.
As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence, Offor called for unity in diversity, resilience in the face of challenges and intentional efforts at every level to move Abia State and Nigeria forward.
