(A reflection for every vigilant son and daughter of Abia North)
In the last few weeks, Chief Orji Uzor Kalu has suddenly rediscovered his voice— not for development, not for unity, not for the forgotten roads or abandoned communities he once pledged to uplift— but for a new theatre of accusation. With a trembling urgency, he has thrown himself into a crusade against Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB, claiming—without evidence, without context—that 30,000 souls perished and that Igbo prosperity was shattered at the feet of one man.

But politics, my people, is rarely about the noise we hear. It is more often about the silence beneath the noise. And if we listen carefully—if we peel back the loud theatrics—we find a familiar calculation: a politician desperately in search of a new story, a new enemy, a new pathway back to relevance and the corridors of federal power.
The 2023 Playbook — A Reminder We Must Not Forget
In the last election, the same OUK whispered quietly into INEC’s ears, pointing at peaceful towns and calling them IPOB strongholds. Not because the people were violent. Not because there was danger. But because fear is a powerful tool, and he needed that fear to keep democracy at bay. Elections were suspended. Ballots were silenced. Communities were disenfranchised. And Abia North woke up to results manufactured in the dark.
A New Strategy for 2027?
Today, he is rebooting that script. Painting himself as the defender of the federation, hoping that by attacking Nnamdi Kanu loudly enough, Aso Rock may mistake his noise for loyalty and hand him the so‑called federal might he once weaponized to bend the will of the people. But Abia North is wiser now. Nigeria is watching. And the era of political camouflage has expired.
The Federal Government Must Also Be Alert
If this renewed narrative is designed to bait sympathy from the Presidency, then let it be clear: No democracy thrives when a politician builds his survival on manufacturing insecurity. No leader should enable a man who weaponizes fear to silence the ballot box.
IPOB Too Must Read the Times
For all their own missteps and controversies, they must recognize when they are being used as political props. When their name becomes a tool—not for justice, but for power games played in high places.
And Finally, To the Electorate
My people, shine your eyes. In 2027, many will come wearing borrowed righteousness. Many will shout “Nigeria! Nigeria!” not from patriotism, but from panic— hoping that noise will hide their empty scorecard. But truth, like the morning sun over the hills of Ohafia, Bende, Arochukwu, Isukwuato and Umunochi always rises.
Abia North does not need a man who creates enemies to stay relevant. Abia North deserves leadership rooted in development, courage, and sincerity— not political theatrics built on fear and falsehood.
LET EVERY EAR HEAR THIS CLEARLY
No one will use IPOB as a ladder to rig Abia North again. No one will hide under presidential sympathy to undermine the people’s will. No one will recycle a failed strategy in a region that has finally awakened. History has shifted. The people have shifted with it. And Abia North will choose leaders on the strength of truth— not the desperation of fading ambitions.
