The President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) of Nigeria, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), has extended warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all members of the Union across the country on the occasion of Workers’ Day.
In his goodwill message, the President described this year’s celebration as another strong reminder of the resilience, dedication, and unwavering commitment of Nigerian workers, particularly RATTAWU members, to national development and the growth of the media and creative sector.

Comrade Kalu commended members for their professionalism, hard work, and continued pursuit of excellence in their various fields, despite prevailing socio-economic challenges. He noted that the strength of the Union lies in the collective determination of its members, who have remained steadfast in upholding the core values and ideals of RATTAWU.
While celebrating Workers’ Day, the President urged members not to relent in giving their very best, emphasizing that their contributions remain vital to national development and the advancement of the Union. He reiterated the need for unity, discipline, and sustained commitment as RATTAWU continues to position itself as a strong and credible voice for workers in the media and cultural sector.

Comrade Kalu also used the opportunity to call on government at all levels to create a more enabling environment for workers to thrive. He stressed the urgent need to decisively address the challenges of insecurity and poverty, which continue to undermine productivity and the realization of decent work for many Nigerians.
According to him, meaningful progress can only be achieved when workers feel safe, empowered, and adequately supported in their workplaces and communities.
He further congratulated all RATTAWU members nationwide for a successful Workers’ Day celebration and encouraged them to remain hopeful and resolute as the Union advances toward greater achievements. He also highlighted the ongoing preparations for the 50th Anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of RATTAWU, noting that the roadmap for the celebration has already commenced.
