Primate Elijah Ayodele, the spiritual head of the INRI Evangelical Church, has cautioned the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) against choosing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its 2027 presidential candidate.

In a video statement, Primate Ayodele predicted that selecting Atiku would lead to the party’s downfall.

“If PDP wants to fail, they should give Atiku the presidency. It will be a cheap victory for APC,” he said.

“Atiku is not the solution for PDP in 2027. If they try him, it’s the end of PDP politically.”

Atiku has previously attempted to become Nigeria’s president, including a 2023 bid that ended in defeat to President Bola Tinubu. Primate
