INEC declares Abia South Presidential/NA elections inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Sunday declared the Presidential/National Assembly elections in Abia South Senatorial Zone inconclusive.. Nkem Okoh, INEC electoral officer for Abia South Senatorial zone, who made the announcement in a brief chat with journalists, at Constitution Crescent Primary school, Aba, collation center for the zone, however, refused to give reasons for the rerun when she was asked. Consequently, INEC has scheduled another election in some affected wards in Aba South LGA, Monday, February 27, 2023, to determine winners in the zone. Enugu North: Gov Ugwuanyi loses Senate contest to LP’s Okey Ezea

Mr. Okey Ezea of the Labour Party has been declared the winner of the Senatorial election held in Enugu North Senatorial zone on Saturday. Ezea defeated Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. The result of the election was announced by the returning officer, Prof. Chukwuemeka Ubaka, early Monday morning. He said Ezea polled 104, 492 votes. While Ugwuanyi of the PDP garnered 46, 948 votes, the APC candidate, Eze Simon came third with 6,816 votes.

Kwankwaso’s NNPP leads in Kano with 742,362 votes

Results from 38 Local Government Areas in Kano State show that the Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is leading with 748,362 votes. Bola Ahmad Tinubu of the APC is giving him a close mark with 464,133 votes, while Atiku Abubakar of the PDP got 86,162. Kano State Presidential election results: APC – 464,133LP – 8,926NNPP – 742,362PDP – 86,162 The results of the remaining six LGs are being awaited.

Katsina State: Atiku Abubakar wins Buhari’s home state

Atiku Abubakar, Presidential candidate of the PDP has defeated Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling APC, in President Buhari’s home state, Katsina after polling 489,045 votes from across the 34 LGA in the state. More Surprises: Cross River Gov, Ayade Loses Senatorial Bid To PDP Candidate

Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade has been defeated in Saturday’s National Assembly election. The incumbent Senator representing the Northern Senatorial District of the state in the National Assembly, Sen Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe was re-elected.
