FCT budget jumps from N329 billion to N607.9 billion in less than 1year

The House of Representatives has passed the budget of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT for the 2022 fiscal year. The N607.9 billion budget was passed on Tuesday after consideration by the Committee on Supply. The new budget of the ministry shows that the budget of the FCT has increased from N329 billion in 2021 to N607.9 billion in 2022. The breakdown of the budget shows that N403.6 billion has been allocated for capital projects. This allocation is more than the entire N329 billion budget of 2021. Abuja: FCTA reviews security, assures residents of safety

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has reassured residents of the safety of their lives and property. A statement on Friday by the Director of Information, Muhammad Sule, said the FCT Security Committee met on Thursday. The government assured that adequate security arrangements have been made to sustain the state of law and order. AEDC announces fresh blackout in Abuja

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC), has announced that there will be power interruption in some parts of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) starting from Friday, 25th to Saturday, 26th of November 2022. AEDC, in a public notice signed by its management, noted that the interruption would enable the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to carry out maintenance exercises at Suleja – Katampe 132kv transmission line from 7 am to 6 pm daily. A Hilux car caught fire on Friday, 28th of October 2022 in Abuja beside the Ministry of Justice, frightening employees, passersby, and motorists TheGistNow reports.
