Tajudeen Abbas; Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo; Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma; and the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Olanipekun Olukoyede, were among dignitaries at the commissioning of the commission’s new Zonal Directorate in Awka on Friday. Supreme Court Upholds Final Forfeiture Of Emefiele’s Properties

The Supreme Court has upheld the final forfeiture of properties linked to former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, bringing an end to the legal dispute over the assets. In a unanimous judgment delivered by a five-member panel led by Justice Ibrahim Saulawa, the apex court overturned the earlier decision of the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, which had ordered a fresh hearing of the forfeiture case. Ex-FCTA Director Sentenced To 24 Years In Prison For N318m Fгaud

A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Mr. Garuba Duku, a retired Director of Finance and Administration with the Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) under the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), to 24 years in prison for diverting ₦318 million in public funds. A Federal High Court in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has ordered the interim forfeiture of over N1 billion linked to Professor Grace Umezurike, Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government (SSG), and her aide.
