Negotiations Ongoing To Release Victims Of Abuja-Kaduna Train Attack – Presidency

Special Assistant to President Muahmmadu Buhari on Media, Garba Shehu, has said that negotiations are ongoing to ensure the release of the victims of the Abuja-Kaduna train attack. Nine were said to have been killed, over 20 others sustained injuries from gunshots, and many passengers were abducted when bandits attacked an Abuja-Kaduna train in March. SEDI chief Samuel Ndubisi assassinated in Enugu

The Director-General, Science and Equipment Development Institute, Prof. Samuel Ndubisi, has been assassinated in Enugu by unidentified gunmen. This is coming barely 48 hours after the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AutoEase Service Limited, Ifeanyi Okeke was also assassinated by yet-to-be-identified gunmen in the presence of his eight-year-old son. It was gathered that the SEDI DG was shot dead along with his police orderly on the Port- Harcourt Express Road Enugu around 4 pm while he was reportedly going home. The State Governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, was said to have visited the scene of the incident.

Churchgoers, others flee as gunmen parade Owerri streets

Some unknown gunmen have caused a stampede among members of St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Amakohia in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during Mass celebration. Again, six killed by bandits in Kaduna village

Six persons have again been killed by suspected armed bandits when they stormed Bagoma village in Brinin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State. Salisu Gwamna, elder brother one of the deceased, Bala Gwamna was injured by the bandits. Mr Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who confirmed the killing in a statement, also condemned the Sunday attack on Haske Baptist Church in Chikun local government area by bandits.
