Judge jails commercial motorcyclist for life for raping 9-year-old girl

An Ado-Ekiti High Court on Wednesday sentenced a 31-year-old commercial motorcyclist, Ojo Adebayo, to life in prison for raping a nine-year-old girl. The defendant was indicted on a charge of desecration before Judge Olalekan Olatawura in March. The Federal High Court in Abuja has stopped the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from ending voter registration on June 30, 2022. Honourable Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon (Court 10) on Monday granted an order of interim injunction following the hearing of an argument on motion exparte by Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP).
