Chidinma makes U-turn; I don’t know who killed Ataga, I fled in fear

A Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square, on Tuesday, continued the trial of Chidinma Ojukwu, who was alleged to have killed the Chief Executive Officer of Super Tv, Usifo Ataga. Ojukwu, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos, Akoka, was arraigned alongside Adedapo Quadri and Chioma Egbuchu on October 12, 2021, on nine counts over the alleged murder of Ataga. Anambra: Catholic Priest, Fr. Joseph, kidnapped by Gunmen.

A priest with the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Rev. Fr. Joseph Igweagu, has been kidnapped by Gunmen in Anambra State. It was gathered that Igweagu, a parish priest in charge of St Joseph’s Parish, Abata Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area of the state, has been missing since October 12. He was said to be abducted while returning after celebrating a Funeral Vigil Mass at Umunnachi in the Njikoka Local Government Area of the state. Kidnappers of a village head in Adamawa State have killed the village head and a relative sent to deliver ransom for his release. Court jails Kwara poly student over $9,891 fraud

A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin on Friday sentenced a 31-year-old student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Bashiru Azeez, to six months imprisonment over $9,891 fraud. Justice Adebayo Yusuf handed down the sentence while ruling on a fraud case instituted by the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. Bashiru who is from Oyan in the Odo-Otin Local Government Area of Osun State is a student in the Marketing Department of Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
