ELECTION PETITION TRIBUNAL SET THE 10TH, 12TH, AND 13TH OF MAY 2023 WITH 257 JUDGES TO HEAR THE PETITION ARISING FROM THE 2023 GENERAL ELECTIONS The National Judicial Council has released a list of 257 judges who will hear petitions arising from the 2023 Nigerian general elections. The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal and the State Election Petition Tribunals are expected to resume full operations in May, after the Workers' Day holiday. Election Tribunal: INEC tells Court to dismiss Obi, LP’s prayers in the suit.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has told the Presidential Election Petition Court, PEPC to dismiss a suit filed by Peter Obi of the Labour Party because the reliefs sought are not grantable. Nigeria’s electoral body, INEC, disclosed this on Monday at the PEPC’s Secretariat by its lawyer, Abubakar Mahmoud, SAN, in Abuja.
