Bandits have shot dead the senior wife of the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu. Mrs. Hulaira Hussaini Ardo was shot dead after the bandits collected 2 million Naira as ransom. The bandits had on February 11, 2023, Kidnapped four wives of Malam Husaaini Ardo, at Rugan Ardo in Kagarko LGA, and killed the Chief Imam of Nomadic Central Mosque in Rugan Ardo, Isyaka Adamu. 1,789 persons kidnapped within six months in Kaduna – Commissioner

About 1,789 persons in Kaduna State were abducted by bandits in six months this year, the state has revealed. Presenting the security situation report for 2022 to the state government on Friday, the state Commissioner, Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, explained that within the same period 161 bandits were killed in various communities encountered by the security agencies. According to the commissioner, the security agents at different locations in the second quarter neutralized 59 bandits. Bandits kill soldier, kidnap foreign national in Kaduna community

Suspected gunmen Friday, stormed a farm in Anchau village of Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Wednesday, killing a soldier who was detailed to provide security to staff members in the company. A source disclosed that after killing the security personnel, they abducted two staff of the company, a Zimbabwean national. Kaduna State Govt sacks 2,357 teachers

The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB) says it has dismissed 2,357 teachers who failed the recently conducted competency test. Its spokesperson, Mrs Hauwa Mohammed, in a statement on Sunday in Kaduna, said the Board conducted a competency test for over 30,000 teachers in Dec. 2021. She said that 2,192 primary school teachers including the National President of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mr Audu Amba, had been dismissed for refusing to sit for the competency test. She said that some 165 of the 27,662 teachers that sat for the competency test were also sacked for poor performances.…
