The commencement of the pretrial session in the ongoing petition filed by All Progressives Congress, APC, challenging the victory of Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, was stalled on Tuesday. Heavily armed men, in their numbers, stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot dead the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba. Bandits The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, rode on motorcycles. A family source confirmed that the gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house. The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari.
