Kano guber: APC’s failure to pay N700 stalls Tribunal proceedings

The commencement of the pretrial session in the ongoing petition filed by All Progressives Congress, APC, challenging the victory of Kano Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf of the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, was stalled on Tuesday. This is owing to the failure of the Petitioner’s counsel to effect a mandatory fee. Police parade Kano legislator who allegedly led a mob to burn INEC office

A member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Isiyaku Ali Danja Gezawa, and 164 persons were arrested by the Kano State Police Command for allegedly trying to set ablaze the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC and a police station. Ali Danja, of Gezawa Constituency, was alleged to have led a team of hoodlums to destroy the INEC collation center in Gezawa. Heavily armed men kill village head in Kano

Heavily armed men, in their numbers, stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot dead the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba. Bandits The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, rode on motorcycles. A family source confirmed that the gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house. The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari. Efforts to reach the Kano State PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa were not successful as of the time of filing this report.

12-year-old boy kidnaps 3-year-old girl, demands N150,000 ransom

The operatives of the Bauchi State Police Command have arrested a 12-year-old boy for allegedly kidnapping a three-year-old girl. The father of the girl reported to the police that he got an anonymous call informing him that his daughter had been kidnapped. The anonymous caller demanded N150,000 from the girl’s father as ransom before his daughter would be released.
