23-year-old man kidnaps himself, demands N10m ransom from family

Men of Ogun State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old man, Edward Okache, for faking his own kidnap and asking his gang to demand N10 million ransom from his family. Okache reportedly contacted four others: Asamoah Ernest, Isiah Uti, Ephraim Anyijor, and charity Lukpata to execute the fake kidnap with a view to getting N10m fund for an online business. The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this on Wednesday in a statement. Terrorists on Wednesday released the 23 remaining victims of the Kaduna train attack. The hostages were freed at about 4 pm on Wednesday. The terrorists attacked the AK-9 Abuja-Kaduna train passengers on March 28, 2022. The terrorists planted explosive devices along the rail track and when the Abuja-Kaduna bound AK-9 passenger train approached the point, the device exploded, causing the train to derail, leading to the death of eight passengers. Armed men kidnap traditional ruler in Imo

Armed men abducted the traditional ruler of the Isiala Umudi community, Nkwere Local Government Area Imo State southeastern Nigeria. The monarch, Jewel Ndenkwo, was kidnapped in Owerri around 7 pm on Friday. The armed men took him away in front of one of his companies, Udekings Electronics, in the area. Bandits kill soldier, kidnap foreign national in Kaduna community

Suspected gunmen Friday, stormed a farm in Anchau village of Kubau Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Wednesday, killing a soldier who was detailed to provide security to staff members in the company. A source disclosed that after killing the security personnel, they abducted two staff of the company, a Zimbabwean national.
