Julius Abure's position as the National Chairman of the Labour Party, LP, has been confirmed by the Court of Appeal, Abuja division. On Wednesday, the Federal Capital Territory's High Court's ruling prohibiting Abure and two other individuals from designating themselves as national officers of the party was overturned by the appellate court. Mbah’s election as governor of Enugu upheld by the Supreme Court.

On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah's election. The principal judge, Justice Mohammed Garba, interpreted the claim that Mbah lacked a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate as a mere allegation.
