Mbah’s election as governor of Enugu upheld by the Supreme Court.
On Friday, the Supreme Court upheld Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah's election. The principal judge, Justice Mohammed Garba, interpreted the claim that Mbah lacked a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate as a mere allegation. All of the arguments made in the appeal against the appellant were addressed by the court. The Labour Party's Chijioke Edeoga, the appellant, had brought INEC and Mbah before the court to contest the Court of Appeal's ruling that had rejected his challenge to the governor's election.
