Igbinedion University Establishes Tablet-Manufacturing Factory to Enhance Medical Education and Healthcare

Igbinedion University, Okada, located in Edo, has recently inaugurated a tablet-manufacturing factory aimed at catering to the specific needs of its teaching hospital and the surrounding community. The university's vice-chancellor, Lawrence Ezemonye, revealed this development during the 13th oath-taking/induction ceremony for 101 pharmacy graduates of the 2022/2023 session. The newly established facility resides within the university's Department of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology. It is strategically designed to serve multiple purposes, including undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, research, extemporaneous compounding, and tablet production.
