Osun: FG shut down 75 filling stations over infractions

The Nigeria Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority has shut down over 75 filling stations in Osun State. On Wednesday, Mr. Kunle Adeyemo, NMDPRA state Coordinator, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the agency’s activities in April. According to him, the filling stations were shut down due to non-compliance with the agency’s regulatory standard, including operating without a valid license. 75,436 inmates in prisons, 52,446 awaiting trial – Nigerian Correctional Service

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has disclosed that thousands of inmates in prisons across the country are without trial. Assistant Controller-General, Gimba Dumbulwa made the revelation on Wednesday in Abuja at a conference on decongestion and corrections administration. The official noted that as of May 9, 75,436 inmates are in correctional centres, while 52,446 are awaiting trial inmates. Abia workers begin indefinite strike in line with NLC directive
