A court jails fraudster Adebisi Olalekan, orders forfeiture of N150 million in assets to FG

Adebisi Emmanuel Olalekan, a 23-year-old serial internet fraudster, was convicted by a Federal High Court in Ilorin, Kwara state, to 24 months in prison without the possibility of a fine for acts that touch on cybercrime, such as impersonation and cheating. 75,436 inmates in prisons, 52,446 awaiting trial – Nigerian Correctional Service

The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has disclosed that thousands of inmates in prisons across the country are without trial. Assistant Controller-General, Gimba Dumbulwa made the revelation on Wednesday in Abuja at a conference on decongestion and corrections administration. The official noted that as of May 9, 75,436 inmates are in correctional centres, while 52,446 are awaiting trial inmates. Abuja prison attack: FG releases details of escaped Boko Haram terrorists

The Nigeria Correctional Service (NCS) has published the details and images of the 68 Boko Haram suspects who escaped from the Kuje prison. According to a BBC Pidgin report, officials have also promised to release details of other prisoners who escaped from the facility.
