Buhari vows increased education spending over the next four years

President Muhammadu Buhari has pledged that Nigeria will increase its budget for education as a sign of commitment to its citizens. The 78-year-old made the pledge at the Global Education Summit on Financing Global Partnership for Education (GPE) 2021-2025 in London, the United Kingdom on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. He said Nigeria will progressively increase annual domestic education expenditure by 50% over the next two years, at the end of which his second term tenure will end. Again, six killed by bandits in Kaduna village

Six persons have again been killed by suspected armed bandits when they stormed Bagoma village in Brinin Gwari local government area of Kaduna State. Salisu Gwamna, elder brother one of the deceased, Bala Gwamna was injured by the bandits. Mr Samuel Aruwan, Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who confirmed the killing in a statement, also condemned the Sunday attack on Haske Baptist Church in Chikun local government area by bandits. An Ogba Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Wednesday ordered a DNA test to be conducted on Oluwafifehanmi, the daughter of Nollywood actress, Ronke Odusanya. The trial Magistrate, M. O.
