Thugs invade INEC office in Obingwa Local Government Area

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Sunday said hoodlums invaded its office in Abia State. The electoral body made the revelation in a Twitter post on its verified page. “Thugs have invaded our Obingwa Local Government Area office in Abia State. “Security agencies have been alerted. The Commission is monitoring the situation and will issue a statement shortly,” INEC tweeted.

Three thugs were gunned down in Benue State for disrupting the election, snatching BVAS

At least three persons suspected to be political thugs have been killed in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State. The thugs invaded the polling units 026 and 004, Gboko South while electoral processes were ongoing and attempted to snatch ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS. INEC Postpones Elections In 10 Lagos Polling Units

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed the ongoing governorship and state assembly elections in 10 polling units in Lagos State. The affected polling units are in Victoria Garden City (VGC) in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of the State. Earlier reports had it that thugs attacked a Nollywood actress in the area. At Agwan Rrimi Ward, Ec 20 Polling Unit where he cast his ballot in the governorship election, Governor Abdullahi Sule who is seeking reelection polled 129 votes, while Dr. Davematics Ombugadu of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secured 159 votes.
