Just In: PDP National Chair, Ayu, suspended with immediate effect

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Iyorchia Ayu has been suspended by the party. The suspension of Ayu was effected by the Ward Executive of the party in Igyorov Ward of Gboko Local Government Area, LGA, of Benue state. Addressing the media Sunday, on behalf of Kashi Philip, the Ward Chairman, the Ward Secretary Mr. Vangeryina Dooyum explained that Dr. Ayu was suspended by the Executive for alleged anti party activities. PDP Wins Polling Units At El-Rufai’s Govt House

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost the two polling units inside Sir Kashim Ibrahim House (Government House ) in Kaduna state. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate, Isa Ashiru Kudan, won polling units 014 with 77 votes while APC’s Uba Sani that scored 40 votes. The Presiding Officer, Mohammed Baso, announced that Labour Party scored 0. PRP 1, NNPP 1, adding that 7 invalid votes were recorded. Appeal Court okays PDP, LP requests to interrogate INEC over presidential poll

The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Friday granted orders to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Labour Party (LP) to interrogate the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on the conduct of the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections. The grant of the orders followed separate ex-parte applications by the two parties before the court. Justice Joseph Ikwegh endorsed the request after listening to Adedamola Faloku who stood in for the PDP and its presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
