Heavily armed men kill village head in Kano

Heavily armed men, in their numbers, stormed Maigari village in Rimin Gado Local Government of Kano State on Sunday and shot dead the village head, Alhaji Dahiru Abba. Bandits The gunmen, according to an eyewitness, rode on motorcycles. A family source confirmed that the gunmen did not take anything from the victim’s house. The village head is also said to be the father of the present Chairman of Rimin Gado Council, Barrister Munir Dahiru Maigari. Efforts to reach the Kano State PPRO, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa were not successful as of the time of filing this report.

Suspected herdsmen have renewed attacks in Benue – PDP alerts

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has issued an alert of renewed attacks by suspected herdsmen in Benue. Isaac Mffo, the state acting chairman, raised the alarm at a media briefing in Makurdi, the capital.
