The Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali has ordered various commandos across the country to begin prosecuting individuals who assault their personnel. A statement from force spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi revealed that the IGP said an attack on its officers is an affront to the rule of law. His directive comes just a week after a social media video of a police officer being sexually abused by a civilian went viral.
