Hon. Udoeze Kalu, a prominent political voice in Abia State, has used the occasion of his birthday to send a message of hope to Nigerians, calling on citizens across the country to support the 2027 Presidential ticket of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), led by Mr. Peter Obi and his running mate, Alhaji Rabiu Musa Nwankwaso.
Kalu, while reflecting on his birthday, said his greatest desire is not merely to celebrate another year of life, but to see Nigeria experience a decisive change through competent, visionary and people-oriented leadership.
According to him, the country is at a critical crossroads and Nigerians must make a conscious choice to rescue the nation from what he described as the danger of deeper backwardness.
He maintained that the combination of Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Nwankwaso offers Nigerians a credible pathway towards rebuilding the country and restoring confidence in governance.
Udoeze Kalu urged Nigerians, particularly young people, to look beyond political sentiments and personal interests and support leadership capable of putting the economy, security, education, healthcare, infrastructure and the welfare of ordinary citizens at the centre of national development.
He insisted that the 2027 election provides Nigerians with another opportunity to change the direction of the country, stressing that the emergence of the Peter Obi–Nwankwaso ticket would represent a major step towards rescuing Nigeria from its present challenges.
“It will be the greatest birthday present to me when Nigeria changes for the better through qualified leadership,” Kalu declared.
He said his birthday wish is therefore tied to the collective aspiration of millions of Nigerians who desire a country where hard work is rewarded, institutions work, young people have opportunities, businesses can thrive and leadership is genuinely accountable to the people.
Kalu further called on Nigerians not to lose hope in the possibility of a better nation, urging citizens to participate actively in the democratic process and make their votes count in 2027.
