Uko Nkole Engages Village Boys State Leadership, OK Movement Leaders, Attends Ako Atuloma-Led Abia NDC Stakeholders’ Meeting Ahead Of 2027

The National Democratic Coalition (NDC) senatorial candidate for Abia North, Rt. Hon. Uko Ndukwe Nkole Fnitp Ph.D, has continued his consultations with political groups and stakeholders across Abia State, with separate engagements involving the State and Abia North leaderships of the Village Boys and Obi/Kwankwaso (OK) Movement, as well as the Abia State Stakeholders Meeting led by Hon. Ako Atuloma.

The engagements took place as Nkole intensified consultations and interactions ahead of the 2027 general elections, with emphasis on experience, development and effective representation.

At his country home in Ozu Abam, Nkole received the State and Abia North leaderships of the Village Boys and Obi/Kwankwaso (OK) Movement during a courtesy visit.

The meeting provided an opportunity for discussions around the political direction of Abia North and the broader aspirations of the groups ahead of the 2027 elections. At the end of the visit, Nkole presented souvenirs to the visiting leaders as a gesture of appreciation for their visit and engagement.

The consultations came against the backdrop of Nkole’s record in public service, particularly his eight years in the National Assembly, during which he facilitated a number of federal interventions in Abia North.

Among the projects associated with his tenure are the reticulation and water supply component of the rehabilitated Ohafia Water Scheme at Akanu-Ohafia, as well as major road projects including the Ohafia–Arochukwu Highway, Ohafia–Ozu Abam–Bende–Umuahia Road and Arochukwu–Itu Road. His legislative interventions also extended to road corridors linking Abiriba, Nkporo, Edda and Afikpo.

In Umuahia, Nkole also participated in the Abia State Stakeholders Meeting held at the Bishop Nwedo Catholic Centre under the leadership of Hon. Ako Atuloma.

The stakeholders’ engagement provided another platform for interaction among political actors and stakeholders as preparations for the 2027 elections continue to take shape in the state.

For Nkole, the engagements form part of an ongoing effort to listen to stakeholders, strengthen relationships and present his vision for effective representation based on experience and a record of service.

The former two-term member of the House of Representatives has consistently maintained that his 2027 campaign will be issue-based, with particular attention to attracting federal projects, empowering young people and women, improving access to education and addressing the developmental needs of Abia North.

The latest engagements further reinforce the growing consultations around Nkole’s candidacy as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
