Hon. Uko Nkole, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate for Abia North Senatorial Zone in the 2027 general election, has continued his grassroots engagement across Bende Local Government Area, strengthening his relationship with the people while advancing the political message of the party ahead of the polls.
Nkole, in company of Elvis Ignis Ogbonna, NDC House of Representatives candidate for Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, and Engr. Uchenna Okogbue, NDC Leader in Bende LGA, attended the August meeting of women from Ntalakwu Itumbuzo Ward in Bende.

The engagement provided an opportunity for the senatorial candidate to interact directly with women at the grassroots, listen to their concerns and further articulate his vision for effective representation in the Senate.
The NDC candidate also joined Engr. Uchenna Okogbue at the Abam Onyerubi Believers Association Prayer Conference held at the Presbyterian Church, Ndi Okereke Abam.
Speaking after the prayer conference, Nkole expressed appreciation for the prayers and goodwill extended to him, describing the encounter as a deeply encouraging experience.
He said he was particularly encouraged by the assurances of support for both his senatorial ambition and the presidential aspiration of Mr. Peter Obi, whose political message, according to him, represents a renewed hope for ordinary Nigerians.

The former Anambra State Governor remains a major pillar of the NDC’s 2027 political campaign, with the party positioning his presidency as an opportunity to redirect the country towards accountable leadership, economic productivity and a government that places the interests of ordinary citizens at the centre of national development.
For Nkole, the ongoing grassroots engagements are not merely political visits but part of a broader effort to reconnect leadership with the people and build a movement capable of delivering the desired change in Abia North and Nigeria at large.
With the 2027 elections drawing closer, the NDC candidate is expected to sustain his consultations across the senatorial zone, taking the party’s message directly to communities, religious groups, women, youths and other critical stakeholders.
