Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Finger) , the President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers’ Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU), recently made a courtesy visit to Edo State, marking his second visit to the South-South region after his overwhelming victory. During his time in the state, he engaged with the RATTAWU state executives, who warmly welcomed him, reflecting the strong bond and unity within the union.



His visit coincided with the inauguration of the South-South Executives of the Bridge Builders Initiative for Green Nigeria (BBIGN) whom he doubles as her National Secretary, Board of Trustees. This development signifies a strong partnership between RATTAWU and BBIGN in their shared goal of building a better Nigeria. Prince Kalu’s presence at this event highlights the commitment of both organizations to collaborate in promoting the welfare of Nigerian youths.
In his speech through Comrade Terry Isaac Idahor, the South South Vice President of RATTAWU, who represented him, Prince Kalu expressed optimism about Nigeria’s future and encouraged Hon. Emma Orgwu, the President of BBIGN, to continue inspiring Nigerian youths, stressing that the nation’s future depends on them. He also reiterated his commitment to leading a government that prioritizes unity, hard work, and meritocracy, where individuals are recognized based on their efforts without bias.
Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu’s visit to Edo State and his participation in the BBIGN event underscore his dedication to fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and enhancing the welfare of Nigerian youths. As RATTAWU navigates its role in advocating for media practitioners, Prince Kalu’s leadership is expected to drive the Union toward achieving its objectives and contributing to Nigeria’s growth and development.
The collaboration between RATTAWU and BBIGN is anticipated to yield positive outcomes for the country, particularly in youth empowerment and development. Under Prince Kalu’s leadership, RATTAWU is poised to play a significant role in shaping the future of Nigeria’s media landscape.
The State Chairman Comr Repheal Ogkere, expressed his commitment to working with the pragmatic capacity President and other Executive leaders to rebuild and boost the image of the Union to her enviable heights for better Nigeria.
RATTAWU leaders from the Zone were on hand to receive the President, including the National Vice President South South, Comrade Terry Isaac Idahosa, who stood in for the President pending his arrival included the Immediate past VP S/S Comrade Jackson Ikpos, National Financial Secretary Comrade Charles Ebegide, Former Delta State Chairman Onons Mukoro, Edo State Chairman Comrade Ohio Oheikere, Secretary Collins, and the entire State Executive Committee and Chapters leadership.
