The Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU) has directed that the second stanza of the Nigerian National Anthem be used as the opening and closing prayers at all union activities. This directive was issued by the National President of RATTAWU, Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Finger).

The third stanza of the Nigerian National Anthem reads:
O God of all creation,
Grant this our one request,
Help us to build a nation
Where no man is oppressed,
And so with peace and plenty,
Nigeria may be blessed.
According to the directive, all leaders are expected to ensure the implementation of this directive with immediate effect. This move aims to promote unity, patriotism, and a sense of national pride among RATTAWU members.
The adoption of the national anthem as prayers is seen as a way to foster a deeper connection with the nation’s values and principles. It is also expected to inspire members to work towards the betterment of the country and the creative industry.
