The Honourable Member representing Arochukwu/Ohafia Federal Constituency, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa, attended the prestigious IRI Ji/Igba Ekpe ceremony in his country home, Ebem Ohafia, on Saturday, Orie, 27th September 2025.

The event, which showcases the rich cultural heritage of the community, provided an opportunity for the lawmaker to connect with his constituents and reaffirm his commitment to their welfare. During his address, Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa assured the community of better things ahead, particularly in the area of electricity supply restoration in Ohafia LGA. He expressed his gratitude to God for the opportunity to serve his people and reiterated his dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.

In a gesture of goodwill, the lawmaker announced a special celebration gift to the community, which he disclosed to the King to support the development of Ebem Ohafia. This gesture was warmly received by the community leaders and members.

The Paramount Ruler of Ebem Ohafia, HRH Ezeogo Eze Ukoha Ukoha, commended Hon. Ibe Okwara Osonwa for his commitment to the community’s development and expressed the community’s pride in having a son who is dedicated to their welfare.

Eme Iro Eme, the Hon. Councillor representing Ebem-Oha ward Hon. Ukariwe Inyima Uduma, The 6th legislative council councillors, supervisory councillors currently serving in Ohafia LGA.
