…Dedicates Honour to Gov. Alex Chioma Otti’s Industrialization Drive

It was a moment of pride, celebration, and deep cultural significance as Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, the Ultimate Commander (Ikenga Gburugburu I of Ohafia), was conferred with the Ohafia Hall of Fame Prestigious Award of Honour (Ebube Mba) in recognition of his outstanding achievements, uncommon philanthropy, and unwavering service to humanity.

In a dignified presentation underscoring the importance of the occasion, the award was officially presented to Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor by the Executive Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area, De Mayor, High Chief Eleanya Ojuu Kalu, who represented His Excellency, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, the Executive Governor of Abia State. The presentation symbolized the strong support of the Abia State Government for excellence, community service, and visionary leadership—values consistently embodied by the awardee.

It was also a moment of pride, honour, and celebration on 28th December 2025, as Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor, the Ultimate Commander (Ikenga Gburugburu I of Ohafia), was formally inducted into the Ohafia Hall of Fame and conferred with the prestigious Ebube Mba Award of Honour. The historic induction, unveiling, and award ceremony took place at the elegant BlueSpring Hotel, Ebem Ohafia, drawing eminent personalities, traditional rulers, political leaders, captains of industry, and sons and daughters of Ohafia from across Nigeria and the diaspora.

Joining the Mayor in presenting the award to Dr. Osita Offor were an array of distinguished dignitaries, including billionaire brothers Chief Paul Okwara and Peter Okwara (P-Square), Hon. Chief Kalu MBA Nwoke, Member representing Ohafia South State Constituency, and the Chief Launcher of the event, Chief Chukwudi Kalu (Agumba I / Okaaome I of Isiugwu Ohafia). Members of the UAAP Forum were well represented, notably legendary Nollywood actress Mrs. Chinyere Nwabueze, who added glamour and cultural depth to the event. Also present was Chief Uduma Mong, Ohafia-born Abia State Director of Lands, among other notable personalities.

The Ohafia Hall of Fame initiative was anchored by committed organizers and visionary leaders, including Hon. Chief MBA Ukaha, Chairman of the Screening and Planning Committee; Nze Uche Uche Ohafia, Chairman of the Occasion; Chief Dr. Uduma Nnate, the Publisher; and Chief Dr. Joseph Eke Kalu, the Keynote Speaker, who delivered an insightful discourse on “Akuruaule”, emphasizing unity, excellence, and community-driven development. The royal presence of Ohafia’s traditional rulers added dignity, colour, and cultural authenticity to the prestigious gathering.

In a moment filled with gratitude and statesmanship, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor dedicated the Ebube Mba Award to the visionary leadership and developmental strides of Governor Dr. Alex Chioma Otti and his Deputy, Chief Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu. He commended their commitment to good governance, transparency, and people-oriented policies, noting that their leadership continues to inspire citizens and stakeholders at all levels.

In his acceptance speech, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor expressed deep appreciation to the Ohafia Hall of Fame Committee and the entire Ohafia nation for the honour bestowed upon him. In a forward-looking engagement, the Executive Chairman of Ohafia Local Government Area formally requested that Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor host an international-standard global wrestling and boxing event—the first of its kind on Ohafia soil—to attract dignitaries from around the world. De Ultimate Commander gladly accepted the proposal and informed the Mayor about “ALEXOTTIMANIA,” a project already approved by the United States Government through the U.S. Embassy in Lagos. The initiative is designed to showcase globally the good governance and industrialization strides of Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, which have given rise to the New Abia Movement.

The Ohafia Hall of Fame not only celebrates individuals of exceptional merit but also reinforces the values of excellence, service, unity, and cultural pride that define the Ohafia people.
