It is with a profound sense of responsibility and a deep commitment to truthfulness that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the paramount Igbo socio-cultural organization, issues this unequivocal statement to address the distressing circumstances surrounding Mrs. Tracy Nicholas Ohiri. We are bound by duty to delineate the facts with clarity and to extend our heartfelt concern for her wellbeing, as it appears evident that she may require immediate psychiatric intervention due to signs suggestive of dementia and memory loss.

Our beloved sister, Mrs. Tracy Nicholas Ohiri, whose actions have regrettably transcended the boundaries of acceptable conduct, has once again emerged in the public arena with audacious allegations against her legal representative, Barrister Marshall Abubakar, and various human rights activists. These allegations follow her previous public acknowledgment of false claims against Senator Dave Umahi, wherein she, devoid of coercion, tendered an unreserved apology and retracted her accusations of sexual harassment against him.

The recent developments concerning Mrs. Ohiri are both perplexing and troubling, further corroborating our earlier assertions that she may be influenced by opposition coalition leaders within the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This orchestrated ploy appears designed with malicious intent to tarnish the reputation of Senator Umahi, the esteemed Minister of Works, thereby impeding his commendable efforts in executing his constitutional mandate to enhance Nigeria’s infrastructure.

For the purposes of eradicating any ambiguity and anchoring this discourse in factual precision, we wish to assert categorically: Senator Dave Umahi has extended no financial compensation or inducement to Mrs. Ohiri in the amount of $70,000 (equivalent to 100 million Naira). It was, in fact, the benevolent initiative of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, through which we appealed to magnanimous Nigerians and Igbos, who concurred that given her contrition and public recantation, she should receive monetary assistance as recognition for her newfound integrity and in support of her familial responsibilities.

In view of these elucidations, it is imperative to counsel Mrs. Tracy Ohiri to uphold the veracity of her prior public statements and apologies. It is our earnest hope that she heeds this advice for the sake of her peace and that of our community. Be forewarned that neither Ohanaeze Ndigbo nor its affiliates will be positioned to shield her from legal repercussions should she face subsequent arrest and prosecution. The measure of leadership we embody compels us to urge her family to facilitate her access to necessary medical and psychiatric care without delay.
