A Chieftain of Labour Party and staunch supporter of Governor Alex Otti’s administration, Chief Dr. David Onuoha Ogba (Bourdex), has reacted to recent comments of Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu, former Abia State Chief of Staff and Action Peoples Party (APP) governorship candidate, describing it as “Half-Swept Leadership”.

“A broom with K-legs won’t sweep a floor straight — how then will it clean an entire state?”, he queries “If investing in a proper tool is beyond reach, can we trust that the sweep of old politics and stagnant corners will get done? Abia risks ending up with half-tidied spaces and cobwebs clinging to power, while genuine progress gathers dust”, he further postulates.
According to Chief Bourdex (UgoAna), Leadership isn’t about gripping a flawed broom; it’s about wielding the capacity to transform. A proper sweep demands strength, balance, and the right equipment. Without them, promises crumble, and shadows of the past linger.
“For Abia to avoid swept corners and dusty dreams, the question isn’t who holds the broom — it’s who can prove they’ll leave no cobweb unturned”, he said.
OHAFIATV recalls that in a major political shake-up, Chief Mascot has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling his bid for the 2027 Abia State governorship seat. Kalu, now riding on APC’s platform, pledged to wrest power from incumbent Governor Alex Otti, citing his experience and vision for Abia’s progress. This steps has since generated much discussion and reactions from Abia and political watchers around NigeriaNigeria and Abia state in particular.
