WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia and Nneato Ancient Kingdoms), has continued his strategic engagement in the United States as part of ongoing efforts to deepen international support for the re-election of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, while canvassing for foreign investors to strengthen the state’s economic transformation agenda.
In a symbolic moment captured during his visit to Washington, D.C., the renowned philanthropist and Convener of the OTTIMANIA Movement was photographed at the historic Thomas Jefferson Building of the Library of Congress, one of America’s foremost centres of knowledge, research and democratic history. The Library of Congress is widely regarded as the world’s largest library and serves as the research arm of the United States Congress.

Beyond its symbolic significance, the visit reflects Ambassador Offor’s broader mission of projecting the Abia success story to the international community and engaging global stakeholders who can partner with the Governor Otti administration in advancing economic growth, innovation and sustainable development.
A key objective of the U.S. engagement, according to sources close to the mission, is to attract international investors to Abia State by showcasing the improving investment climate created by the Otti administration. The initiative is expected to open new opportunities for partnerships in infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, technology, agriculture, energy, tourism and other strategic sectors capable of accelerating industrialisation, creating jobs and expanding the state’s economy.
Since arriving in the United States, Ambassador Offor has remained steadfast in promoting the achievements of the Otti-led government, insisting that the governor’s reforms in infrastructure, healthcare, education, security, fiscal discipline and economic development have restored confidence in governance and brought renewed hope to the people of Abia State.

According to him, the growing international interest in Abia’s transformation reinforces the need for continuity beyond 2027, stressing that sustaining the present administration’s policies will enable the state to fully realise the economic benefits of ongoing reforms and prospective foreign investments.
The OTTIMANIA Movement has consistently maintained that Governor Otti’s performance has earned him the confidence of many Abians at home and in the diaspora, with supporters intensifying advocacy for his re-election to consolidate the gains already recorded while strengthening the administration’s drive to position Abia as a leading investment destination in Nigeria.
Ambassador Offor’s appearance at the iconic Library of Congress therefore underscores not only the movement’s resolve to engage influential institutions and the global community, but also its determination to attract strategic international investors whose partnerships can further drive Governor Alex Otti’s economic vision and secure the continuity of his transformational agenda beyond 2027.
