Owo Catholic Church reopens 10 months after attack (see pictures)

Ten months after Francis Catholic Church located in Owo, Ondo State, was attacked by gunmen, the Church on Sunday, April 9, reopen for religious activities. The PUNCH reports that on June 5, 2022, gunmen attacked the church and killed some of the worshippers while others were left injured. The governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, had visited the scene to commiserate with the church and the entire town. Four persons were reportedly injured as traditional religion worshippers invaded a mosque in Ile-Ile, Osun state to attack worshippers. Court sends woman to prison for killing husband in Ekiti State

An Ekiti State High Court in Ado Ekiti has ordered one Janet Jegede to be kept in custody as a criminal lunatic at the Correctional Centre, Afao Road, Ado Ekiti. The convict was arraigned before Justice Bamidele Omotoso on September 16, 2020, on one count charge bordering on murder.
