The Yobe State House of Assembly has approved the report of its Justice, Judiciary, and Religious Affairs standing committee regarding a bill that aims to create the State's Hisba Commission. After much discussion among the members on the committee's 41 recommendations, the House finally adopted the report. The chairman of the House committee on justice, judiciary, and religious affairs, Hon. Yakubu Suleiman, provided additional context for the report's adoption. Owo Catholic Church reopens 10 months after attack (see pictures)

Ten months after Francis Catholic Church located in Owo, Ondo State, was attacked by gunmen, the Church on Sunday, April 9, reopen for religious activities. The PUNCH reports that on June 5, 2022, gunmen attacked the church and killed some of the worshippers while others were left injured. The governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu, had visited the scene to commiserate with the church and the entire town.
