Kwara Doctor kills girlfriend, housewife, buries corpses in office

The Kwara State Police Command said its operatives arrested a medical doctor, Adio Adeyemi, of Kaiama General Hospital, over the alleged kidnap and murder of two ladies. Adeyemi was alleged to have kidnapped and killed his girlfriend identified only as Ifeoluwa, and another housewife, Nofisat Halidu, in 2021. Ifeoluwa was declared missing in the Tanke area, while Nofisat, a housewife in Kaiama, was reported missing by her husband, Mr. Halidu. Independence: Sanwo-Olu releases 46 inmates from Lagos prisons

Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the release of 46 inmates from various correctional facilities in the state. Sanwo-Olu’s action followed the recommendation of the Advisory Council on the Prerogative of Mercy. The governor also commuted the death sentences of six inmates to life imprisonment, said Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), Commissioner for Information.
