Kester may join Rivers United after rejecting Enyimba

Kelly Kester declined a request from Enyimba, his previous team. The nine-time Nigerian Premier League winners sought him out to enhance their roster in preparation for the next season. After turning down a hefty offer to continue playing with Shooting Stars in Ibadan for another season, the tall midfielder's future is unknown. OHAFIATV News has learned that Kester is presently assessing his options in the face of interest from Rivers United and Asian teams. The midfielder, who last played for Makurdi's Lobi Stars Football Club, missed the second part of the previous campaign due to injury.

Akali-Baba Officially Hands Over To Acting IGP, Egbetokun

Newly appointed acting Inspector General of Police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokun, has assumed office at the Force Headquarters in Abuja. This was after the immediate past IGP, Usman Baba, officially handed over to Egbetokun at about 12 noon. President Bola Tinubu appointed Egbetokun as the new acting IGP alongside the Service Chiefs on Tuesday. On Wednesday, Vice President Kashim Shettima decorated him at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Shortly after his decoration, the acting IGP declared war on all criminals and enemies of Nigeria. Egbetokun said he felt like a Tiger and Lion ready to chase all criminals and Nigeria’s enemies.

NIS declares state of emergency on passport

The Acting Comptroller General, of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Caroline Adepoju, on Friday, announced a state of emergency on Passport issues in the country. Adepoju said during her working visit to Lagos that there was an urgent need to address the challenges faced by Nigerians in obtaining international passports.
