Court gives DSS go-ahead to detain Tukur Mamu, bandits negotiator

A Federal High Court, Abuja, has granted a prayer by the Department of State Services (DSS) to detain the former terrorists’ negotiator, Tukur Mamu, for 60 more days. NAN reports that Justice Nkeonye Maha ruled on the ex-parte motion moved by counsel for the DSS, Ahmed Magaji. Gunmen kill vigilante leader’s wife in Enugu

Gunmen killed the wife of a local vigilante leader in Umuopu, Enugu-Ezike, a community in the Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State southeastern Nigeria. The incident occurred on Friday night. The victim, Ogochukwu Onuh, was shot to death after her husband, known simply as Akada, allegedly ran away from the gunmen. Armed men kidnap traditional ruler in Imo

Armed men abducted the traditional ruler of the Isiala Umudi community, Nkwere Local Government Area Imo State southeastern Nigeria.
