This is obviously a classic hit job: verbose, vindictive, and empty of fact. Which is why I have chosen to respond to it.
There are times when silence dignifies. And there are times when silence becomes complicity.
This, unfortunately, is one of the latter.
The recently circulated fiction titled “EXPOSED: The Real Reasons APC Rejected Governor Alex Otti” is not journalism — it is political sewage disguised as news. Its author, hiding behind a cheap headline and anonymous “sources,” represents the lowest form of political desperation: the kind that mistakes fabrication for strategy and gossip for governance.
Let’s be clear: Dr. Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, is not begging for political acceptance. He already earned the only acceptance that truly matters — that of the people of Abia, who rescued themselves from decades of misrule and enthroned a man who placed governance above greed.

- The Phantom “APC Rejection”
The claim that the APC “rejected” Governor Otti is laughable.
You cannot reject what has not applied. Governor Otti has neither sought nor discussed rejoining the APC — not through proxies, emissaries, or angels.
The story is a fever dream of idle propagandists who cannot understand that Abia now runs on merit, not manipulation.
While others chase party platforms to survive, Otti builds performance platforms that speak for themselves — roads, hospitals, schools, fiscal discipline, and the long-forgotten dignity of Abia’s workers and pensioners.
- The Tired Tale of Transparency
To accuse Otti of opacity is like accusing daylight of being dark.
Under his watch, Abia became Nigeria’s most transparent subnational in fiscal reporting — confirmed by both BudgIT and OpenGov reports. Every contract, every expenditure, every internally generated revenue is digitally published and publicly verifiable.
Contrast that with the era of those now masquerading as saints — when Abia’s accounts were guarded like cult secrets and local government funds were siphoned into private estates.
Let it be known: Otti is the first governor in Abia’s history to make monthly salary and pension payments a moral routine — not a campaign slogan.
- On the “Smart Schools” and “Recreational Facility” Illusion
If lies were cement, this writer would have built his own Dubai by now.
The Smart School initiative is one of the most ambitious educational reforms in the South-East — with model projects in Ohafia, Aba, Umuahia, and Isiala Ngwa nearing completion, fully funded, and inspected by multiple agencies.
But of course, to those who prefer the darkness of ignorance, every light of progress is an irritation.
As for the so-called “₦6.7 billion recreational facility,” no such phantom exists — except in the imagination of those who think governance is still the art of looting in silence.
- The Government House and the President’s Portrait
When petty minds run out of substance, they turn to scenery.
The decision to renovate and modernize the dilapidated Government House is not an act of defiance — it is an act of decency.
And to suggest that Governor Otti disrespected the President is as foolish as it is false.
The Governor has repeatedly praised and supported President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s national economic reforms — because progress does not wear party colors.
- The True Fear Behind the Lies
What terrifies them is not Otti’s supposed “desperation” — it is his competence.
They see in him the death of the old political order: where governance was a feeding trough, not a trust.
They fear the rise of a new Abia — clean, focused, efficient — because it exposes the corruption they once called “normal.”
Dr. Alex Otti has redefined what it means to lead.
He did not come to feed; he came to fix.
And fix, he has begun.
- A Final Word to the Architects of Deceit
Those who thrive on misinformation must understand that truth may walk slowly, but it always arrives.
Abians know their Governor. They see the roads taking shape, the hospitals reopening, the classrooms revived, and the old order trembling.
So let the paid scribes continue to invent their bedtime stories.
While they gossip, Abia works.
While they dig pits of lies, Otti builds bridges of progress.
While they fight for political shelter, Otti builds the future.
History will remember who spoke the truth and who sold it.
