Journalist hit by stray bullet at Kano government house

A journalist named Naziru Idris Ya’u, who works with the government-owned Abubakar Rimi Television (ARTV) in Kano State, was hit by a stray bullet at the Government House in Kano.

The incident occurred on Friday, May 3, at 8:30 p.m. after he returned to the government residence from an assignment with Governor Abba Yusuf.

The bullet struck Naziru’s shoulder, causing minor injuries. He was immediately taken to the Government House Clinic, where he received treatment and was later discharged.

Security officials at the government house have initiated an investigation to uncover the circumstances leading to the incident.
