We, the members of the 6th Assembly of the Ohafia LG Legislative Council, are appalled and dismayed by the reprehensible actions of one of our members, *Hon. Dan Urum*, who allegedly orchestrated a mob attack on an individual. This heinous act is a gross betrayal of everything this assembly stands for, and we condemn it in the strongest possible terms. As honorable members, we assure the public that we do not, under any circumstances, condone or tolerate such barbaric behavior.

We are an institution that prides itself on promoting peace, justice, and respect for the rule of law. The actions of our member are a stark deviation from our values, and we distance ourselves from them urgently. We believe that justice should be sought through established channels, not through lawlessness and mob violence. *Hon. Urum* should have pursued redress through the appropriate authorities rather than taking the law into his own hands. We unequivocally condemn his actions.
The Legislative Council is committed to cooperating fully with the authorities to ensure that justice is served. We will not shield our member from accountability, and we expect him to face the full consequences of the law for his actions. We apologize to the victim and the public for any distress caused by this incident, and we reassure them that we are taking steps to address the situation. The Legislative Council will continue to promote a culture of peace, respect, and legality, and we will not tolerate any actions that undermine these values.
*Hon. Kingsley Ukariwe Ajike*
The Spokesperson,
6th Assembly,
Ohafia LG Legislative Council.
