In an engaging and productive visit to his office at Kubwa Central Market, Abuja, the President of the Radio, Television, Theatre, and Arts Workers Union (RATTAWU), Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), along with his team, paid a courtesy visit to Hon. Dr. Chukwuekezie Vincent Udobi, the CEO of several prominent establishments including Kubwa Central Market, Central Market Motor Park, and Central Mass Transit Transport Company. The primary purpose of the visit was to formally invite Hon. Dr. Udobi to the upcoming CWC Meeting of RATTAWU in March, where he will be unveiled as one of the Union’s Patrons.

During the meeting, Comrade Kalu expressed his appreciation for Hon. Dr. Udobi’s willingness to meet despite his busy schedule. He commended the CEO for his commitment to advancing workers’ welfare, noting that Dr. Udobi’s efforts have significantly contributed to shaping a progressive Nigeria where labor is valued, and the well-being of the people is prioritized. Prince Kalu also praised Dr. Udobi for his visionary leadership in establishing Kubwa Central Market—a project of such magnitude that even the government would find it challenging to replicate. He emphasized that the market’s success is a testament to Udobi’s deep concern for humanity and his role in empowering numerous families through job creation and investment.

In response, Hon. Dr. Udobi expressed his gratitude for the honor and acknowledged the significance of the visit. He reaffirmed his commitment to partnering with RATTAWU in various endeavors, recognizing his integral role within the Union. After the meeting, the RATTAWU President and his team took part in a media tour of Kubwa Central Market, where Dr. Udobi led them through the expansive facility. The market, which includes sections for building materials, mass transit, entertainment, and more, is known for its modernity and well-structured leadership.
During an interview following the tour, Dr. Udobi discussed the unity that exists within the market, emphasizing that it serves as a model for peaceful coexistence among Nigeria’s diverse tribes. He pointed out that discrimination of any kind is not tolerated within the facility and expressed optimism that if Nigerian leaders could adopt a more sincere and inclusive approach to governance, the nation would be able to focus on the many things that unite it, rather than those that divide it.
Reflecting on his personal journey, Dr. Udobi shared his story of rising from humble beginnings, where opportunities were scarce. He credited his success to God, determination, and resilience, stating that his greatest joy now comes from giving back to the masses. He continues to empower youth through various programs aimed at creating opportunities for the next generation.
The courtesy visit concluded with a session over a sumptuous meal. The RATTAWU President also used the opportunity to express his condolences to the Udobi family over the loss of their mother and promised the Union’s solidarity in their moment of sorrow.
